On November 26, 2025, the European Parliament approved changes to the EU Regulation on deforestation-free products (EUDR), postponing its entry into force by one year. According to the adopted changes, companies will receive an additional year to adapt to the new EU rules on preventing deforestation. Large operators and traders will have to comply with the Regulation from December 30, 2026; Micro and small enterprises will have to comply from June 30, 2027. This postponement is intended to ensure a smooth transition, as well as to allow the implementation of additional measures to strengthen the IT system used by operators and traders to submit electronic due diligence declarations.
