Why is Russia losing buyers for its grain? From July to October 2025, export shipments of major types of Russian grain fell by 20%, and the number of countries buying wheat decreased from 50 to 30. This was reported by the Russian Grain Union. According to Elena Tyurina, director of the organization's analytical department, in October 2024, 50 countries bought Russian wheat, but in October of this year, only 30 states are purchasing grain.
