The export of Ukrainian honey in 2026 may decrease to 40–45 thousand tons.

In 2026, the volume of Ukrainian honey exports may decrease by 10–20% — to 40–45 thousand tons. Semen Gagarin, the CEO of Beehive, reported this in an interview with Delo.ua. According to him, several factors are simultaneously putting pressure on the market: the rising cost of logistics and fuel, as well as the temporary loss of some export destinations due to the escalation of the situation in the Middle East. In particular, it has become significantly more difficult to form export batches — honey has to be collected from various regions, which increases costs. At the same time, the cost of delivering a container to Qatar has almost tripled — from $7–8 thousand to about $20 thousand, and the transportation time has increased from 45 to 90 days. Because of this, supplies to this market are currently suspended.
