The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) will study the pricing of the most in-demand types of bread, the service reported, having sent a corresponding directive to territorial departments. Based on the information received, it will study the justification for setting wholesale and retail prices for bread and bakery products made from wheat and rye-wheat flour. Financial and economic indicators of both bread producers and their sales organizations for the past year will be analyzed. According to Rosstat, from January 27 to February 2, bread and bakery products made from wheat flour increased by 0.26%, and those made from rye flour increased by 0.23%. Compared to the end of December, prices rose by 1.46% and 1.04%, respectively.
