The first harvest of fruits in the ecological village of Mamak, Turkey

Mamak Municipality has conducted the initial harvest of fruits grown using ecological agriculture techniques on a 25-decare land, marking a milestone in the promotion of ecological agriculture and ecotourism in Mamak. The harvest, which took place within the Ekoköy project, saw the gathering of crops from 400 fruit trees and 25,000 vegetables, signifying the project's success in cultivating local produce and fostering environmental consciousness. In addition to the harvest, the project aims to revitalize village tourism by offering immersive experiences in traditional village life, including workshops for creating natural dairy products, greenhouses, and gardens. Furthermore, the project is developing facilities such as a bakery, local products market, cafe, and historical village houses to provide a tranquil escape for citizens while showcasing the charm of rural living. This initiative is part of a larger effort to reconnect people with nature and promote sustainable agricultural practices.
