Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Stefan Burdjev and Executive Directors of the Fund of Funds Alexander Nenkov and Biser Petkov signed an agreement with the Managing Authority for the implementation of a financial instrument under the Maritime Affairs, Fisheries and Aquaculture Program (MAFRA) for the period 2021–2027, the press center of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food announced. According to the document, the fund will manage a financial instrument with a public resource of nearly 6.5 million euros, secured by MAFRA, co-financed by the European Union through the European Maritime Affairs, Fisheries and Aquaculture Fund. Through the instrument, enterprises in the "Fisheries" sector will gain access to credit under eased conditions. In addition to the public resource under MAFRA, the fund will attract additional private financing, bringing the total amount of funds available to final recipients to nearly 8.7 million euros.
