This expo, themed "Agriculture Changes the World," will see participation from 380 organizations across 25 countries.
The event is structured into five thematic "fields" to provide a direct experience of the infinite value of agriculture.
The "Symbiosis Field" is a space for communication with future generations and sharing the value of rural culture, featuring a children and career experience hall with smart farms, coding, and drone experiences, as well as a youth entrepreneurship market to support young farmers' startups.
The "Agriculture Future Field" is the heart of the expo, offering experiences of future agriculture led by artificial intelligence (AI) technology.
Visitors can experience advanced technologies such as AI smart farms, climate change-resistant crop varieties, food technology for the space age, and autonomous tractor experiences from leading global companies.
The "Agriculture Industry Field" facilitates the exchange of industrial technologies and information to enhance agricultural productivity through the latest agricultural machinery, smart farm technologies, and agricultural material exhibition and sales booths.
The "Business Field" serves as a venue for global exchange and export expansion of K-agriculture, with events including a trade consultation meeting inviting over 50 overseas buyers from 16 countries, the World Food Tech Forum, and an international coffee symposium.
The "Healing and Therapy Field" offers experiences of natural relaxation and sensory experiences such as a garden of abundance, a subtropical botanical garden, sweet potato and persimmon harvesting, a K-coffee promotion hall, and a pet culture playground.
Ban Gwan-su, Director of the Jeonnam International Agricultural Expo Office, said, "This expo will go beyond a mere technology exhibition, becoming a venue to rediscover the value of agriculture amidst the climate crisis and to discuss the future of humanity."
