The government has approved the Operational plan for the implementation of Ukraine's Water Strategy for 2025–2027.

On December 10, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted the Operational plan for the implementation in 2025-2027 of the Water Strategy of Ukraine for the period up to 2050. The document defines a set of priority measures in the field of water security and sustainable water resource management, taking into account climate challenges and the consequences of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation. The implementation of the Operational plan for the next period will allow: to reduce the risks of diseases associated with the consumption of poor-quality drinking water; to attract investments in the modernization of centralized water supply and sewage systems; to improve the treatment of urban wastewater and integrate these measures into the spatial planning of communities; to reduce potential damage to aquatic ecosystems and fisheries.
