The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAPA) has introduced modifications to the regulation governing the "native breed" logo to adapt it to the needs of the livestock sector and enhance its use, as the Department informed in a statement this Monday. The royal decree with these modifications, approved in the Council of Ministers of last October 21 and published in the Official State Gazette (BOE) on Saturday, November 1, reviews various technical and administrative aspects to facilitate the use of the logo by operators. In this way, it guarantees compliance with national and community zootechnics regulations, applicable to purebred breeding animals, hybrid breeding pigs, and their reproductive material, the Ministry added.
