Data from the Agrobusiness Geographic Information System (Siga-MS), from the State Secretariat of Environment, Development, Science, Technology and Innovation (Semadesc), in partnership with Aprosoja/MS, released last week, indicate that soybean planting in Mato Grosso do Sul has already surpassed half of the area for the 2025/26 season. So far, the sowing operation has been carried out on 3.26 million hectares, which represents 61.6% of the total area. According to the survey, the South region is the most advanced, with 68% of the area already planted, followed by the central area, with 54.7%, and the North, with 46.8%. Compared to the same period of the previous cycle, the advance of planting is 4.2 percentage points lower, a reflection of the lack of rainfall that has affected the pace of operations in the field.
