Spain: The Government of the Canary Islands calls for aid aimed at the sustainable development of rural areas

The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries of the Government of the Canary Islands, through the Order of May 26, 2023, has published in the Official Gazette of the Canary Islands (BOC) a new call for aid aimed at promoting environmentally friendly agricultural practices and the landscape, with the aim of contributing to the sustainable development of rural areas. These subsidies also comply with the commitment of the Autonomous Executive to advance in the cross-cutting objectives of the environment and climate change mitigation and their adaptation to it. Funds valued at 840,000 euros are available for this call from the 2023 budget. This is a subsidy 85% co-financed by the EU, which amounts to 4.7 million.
