The Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries in South Korea is planning to stabilize the market prices of seafood by releasing 5,395 tons of marine products, including pollock, mackerel, and squid, on the market by the end of next month. These products will be available at traditional markets, large retailers, and home shopping channels at unit prices that are approximately 10-30% lower than the current market rates. The remaining stock will be distributed to wholesale markets or sold through electronic bidding systems.
