Sharkia Governorate recognizes the importance of the rice crop both for its nutritional value and its economic benefits. The governor and the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Agriculture are closely monitoring the progress of the rice harvest, emphasizing the need for proper storage and adherence to storage regulations. As of now, 90,384 acres of rice have been harvested, with a total of 298,622 acres of various rice varieties planted this year. The Ministry of Agriculture ensures that strict criteria, including grain quality and storage conditions, are followed to maintain the integrity of the rice crop.
