Egypt: The Governor of Al Sharqiya follows up on the regular progress of the rice crop harvest and announces the completion of harvesting 154,679 acres in various centers and cities of the governorate

Professor Dr. Mamdouh Ghorab, Governor of Sharkia, stressed the importance of the rice crop, which is considered one of the most important strategic crops in the governorate due to its nutritional importance and the economic returns it achieves. Sharkia Governorate is also considered one of the leading governorates in its cultivation, as it is the main source of the people’s livelihood. In this context, the Governor of Al-Sharqiya, along with Engineer Hussein Ahmed Talaat, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Agriculture, followed up on the regular progress of harvesting the rice crop for this season, which has amounted to 154,679 acres so far, stressing the need for the parties marketing rice to commit to storing it in accordance with proper storage rules at the specified storage capacities.
