In Lebap velayat, Turkmenistan, farmers successfully cultivated 1,400 hectares of early potato varieties, resulting in a bountiful harvest of 19,778 tons of potatoes. The yield per hectare was approximately 143 centners. The potatoes are being sold in local markets and shops, with the surplus stored in warehouses owned by the Miwe agricultural association. In addition to potatoes, farmers in the eastern region also planted and are expecting a good yield of onions, tomatoes, cucumbers, cabbage, carrots, and melons, given favorable weather conditions.
