Today (April 18th), traders in Vĩnh Long and Đồng Tháp provinces are purchasing coconuts from farmers at prices about 20,000 VND higher per dozen than last month. Specifically, red coconuts are priced around 80,000 VND per dozen, while green coconuts are priced above 65,000 VND per dozen. With these prices, gardeners profit nearly 30,000 VND per dozen. The high prices for coconuts are due to the peak of the hot season, with high demand for coconut water as a refreshing drink. Meanwhile, during the dry season, the yield decreases, leading to a situation where "demand exceeds supply," causing prices to rise.
