Moscow. December 3. INTERFAX.RU - Pork production (slaughter) in the Russian Federation by the end of 2025 may increase by 0.3-0.5%. Such a forecast was presented by the National Union of Pig Breeders at the scientific-practical conference "Pig Breeding-2025" in Moscow. As the head of the union, Yuri Kovalev, said at the conference, a difficult situation was observed in the peripheral regions at the end of the year. In the first half of the year, the monthly dynamics of pork production ranged from minus 2 to 0%. "But in 10 months, negative trends of the last period were overcome in agricultural enterprises, a growth of 0.3% was noted (up to 4.86 million tons, according to his presentation - RF). By the end of the year, the indicator is expected to be positive - 0.3-0.5%," he said. Kovalev noted that in recent years, the annual growth in production was 5-10%.
