The handover of national forest products is a system that allows village residents who have signed a protection agreement for national forests to collect national forest products produced in the national forest if they faithfully carry out national forest protection activities such as preventing forest fires and monitoring illegal activities within the forest. Residents will receive 90% of the income from the forest products, with the remaining 10% going to the national treasury. Last year, a total of 44,710 liters of pine resin sap was produced in the national forest area in Inje. Six villages received the handover, earning 110 million won in income. It is expected that this year's sap collection will be at last year's level, allowing seven villages that have applied for the pine resin handover to create short-term income during the farming off-season at the expected annual level.
