The International Olive Council (IOC), in collaboration with the Provincial Council of Cordoba—a traditional olive-growing region—and at the invitation of Luis Planas, the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Food of Spain, is convening a ministerial meeting on November 20, 2025, in Cordoba, Spain. In light of growing global challenges, the Cordoba meeting brings together numerous ministers and their representatives to underscore the shared commitment of IOC member and observer countries in support of the olive sector as a pillar of sustainable agriculture, food security, climate resilience, and rural development.
