The National Agri-Food Health and Quality Service of Argentina has enabled the export of all cuts of beef, fresh, chilled, or frozen, starting January 1, 2024, following the expiration of regulations established by Kirchnerism through Decree 911/21. The new regulations also allow the export of certain types of cows and bulls, previously restricted for export. The restrictions on beef exports during the presidency of Alberto Fernández were criticized and rejected by the sector, and the increase in meat prices has been a longstanding issue for Peronist and Kirchnerist governments in Argentina.
