The Leningrad region continues to increase milk production volumes

The daily volume of milk production in the Leningrad region in January 2024 is more than 1.8 thousand tons, which is 3% higher than in 2023. The Leningrad region presented the region's achievements at the XV Congress of the National Union of Milk Producers, which was held in Moscow. The forum brought together leading milk producers and processors. The delegation of the Leningrad Region was headed by the Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Leningrad Region - Chairman of the Committee on the Agricultural and Fishery Complex Oleg Malashchenko. At the end of 2023, 710 thousand tons of milk were produced in the Leningrad region, 104.6% by 2022. The average milk yield per forage cow in agricultural organizations in the region increased by 5.5% and amounted to 9925 kg - this is the best result in Russia.
