Hasan Altun, the President of the Araban Chamber of Agriculture and Garlic Producers Union, stated, "The time has come for the green halva, a spring fruit unique to the Araban district. In the Araban district, almond trees bloom in the middle of February each year, depending on the climatic conditions. At the end of March, the initial form of almonds, the lush green halva, starts to show itself. Normally, the halva season lasts about 3 weeks according to the climatic conditions.
