The maritime traffic safety information app has been completely revamped into a user-tailored platform.

The Korea Maritime and Port Authority (KOMSA, President Kim Jun-seok) announced on the 31st that the Marine Traffic Information Service (MTIS) app has been completely revamped as a user-customized platform. KOMSA has newly incorporated features such as a user-specific home screen, expanded mobile functions to support on-site safety judgments, and a redesigned menu structure based on user environment (UI) and user experience (UX) into the MTIS app. Firstly, the MTIS app provides different home screens for the general public and ship operators. The home screen for the general public, including island residents, displays information for safe maritime travel such as passenger ship traffic information and real-time maritime traffic congestion.
