Core Insight: In recent years, China's matcha industry has shown a rapid expansion trend. Industry forecasts predict that by 2025, China's total matcha production will exceed 5000 tons. However, the rapid development of the industry is also accompanied by issues such as "internal competition," lack of unified standards, and insufficient technological transformation. Against this backdrop, on the afternoon of September 11, the Matcha Development Exchange Seminar was held in the Lecture Hall on the first floor of the National Agricultural Library of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences. This seminar focused on matcha industry trends and technological upgrades, gathering over 200 experts, scholars, government representatives from production areas, and heads of leading enterprises in the matcha field. Through industry initiatives, report releases, thematic sharing, and round-table dialogues, the seminar aimed to build consensus and clarify directions for the high-quality development of China's matcha industry. The meeting was chaired by the Vice President of the China International Cooperation Promotion Association for Agriculture and the Standing Vice President of the Tea Industry Division.
