(Seocheon=Yonhap News) Reporter Jeong Yun-deok = On the 24th, it was announced that the 2nd Jongcheon Buttomak Festival will be held on the 1st and 2nd of next month at the Sancheon-ri Public Parking Lot in Jongcheon-myeon, Seocheon County, South Chungcheong.
The Buttomak Festival, named after the first letters of "pancakes, come again, makgeolli," will feature pancakes made from Jongcheon's specialty green onions and makgeolli.
Activities include a Jongcheon green onion surprise auction, kimchi and makgeolli making experiences, and various food stalls.
Special events include an invited singer performance on the first day at 2:30 PM and on the second day at 6:00 PM.
Festival Chairman Sin Eon-gyu urged many to pay attention, saying, "The festival offers a chance to enjoy field-grown green onion pancakes and Jongcheon makgeolli, which are highly praised by enthusiasts."
