Scheduled to start last Monday (20), the intensification of electronic monitoring of the Minimum Freight Rate, through the MDF-e (Electronic Fiscal Document Manifest) — implemented by the National Land Transport Agency (ANTT) based on Law 13,703/2018 — raises questions from the Fertilizer and Agricultural Amendments Industry Syndicate in the State of Paraná (Sindiadubos). The entity assesses that the measure will increase the transportation costs of the sector by more than 35% and advocates for the review of ANTT's table criteria and the suspension of electronic fines. "The new pricing of freight will cause distortions not only in the price of the service, but also in the price of food, especially those that are part of the basic food basket," highlights the agricultural engineer Veríssimo Cubas, executive manager of Sindiadubos.
