REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BANTUL — The Directorate General of Food Crops of the Ministry of Agriculture (Kementan) ensures that the Indonesian Government will not import corn for livestock feed needs in 2025. The corn feed requirement will be fully met from domestic production. "On average, the corn we plant in Indonesia is feed corn, and God willing, we need a lot of feed corn. We have ensured that we will not import this year," said Yudi Sastro, Director General of Food Crops at Kementan, after attending a corn harvest movement event in Bantul Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY), Saturday (15/6/2025). This certainty is supported by a synergy program between the National Police and Kementan together with local governments in planting one million hectares of corn nationally.
