The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, through the Spanish Agricultural Guarantee Fund (FEGA), has authorized the additional payment of 100 million euros in basic income aid for sustainability (ABRS) corresponding to the 2024 CAP campaign, as published on the FEGA website. This measure aims to make the most of the available funds from the European Agricultural Guarantee Fund (EAGF), within the framework provided by community and national regulations. It is estimated that this additional payment will account for just over 5% of the amounts already received by the ABRS beneficiaries. As of July 20, 2025, Spanish farmers and livestock breeders have received a total of 4,709.5 million euros in direct aid from the EAGF, representing 96.5% of the total budget allocated for this campaign, which amounts to 4,882 million euros.
