Russia's raw milk production is projected to rise to 38.9 million tons in the next six years, a increase of 6.5 million tons from 2021, as per Olga Lastochkina, Head of the Dairy and Beef Cattle Breeding and Biotechnology Department of the Ministry of Agriculture. The increase in milk production is largely concentrated in the Kaluga and Penza regions, Tatarstan, and Udmurtia, with over 300 investment projects in dairy farming expected to contribute an additional 3.3 million tons by 2030. The Ministry of Agriculture is also implementing measures to support the dairy industry, such as state support per kilogram of milk for self-employed individuals and increased capital expenditure compensation for the construction of dairy complexes.
