INTERFAX.RU - The Russian Ministry of Agriculture has prepared a draft government resolution to extend the ban on exports of unhusked rice (paddy rice, code 1006 10 of the EAEU Commodity Nomenclature) from July 1, 2025, until the end of the year. The document has been posted on the Federal Portal of Draft Regulatory Legal Acts. An exception is made for rice for sowing (code 1006 10 100 0). The ban does not apply to rice exported to EAEU countries, as well as for providing international humanitarian assistance to foreign states, within the framework of international intergovernmental agreements and international transit transportation beginning and ending outside the territory of the Russian Federation. Other cases that exclude the ban are also provided for.
