The Ministry of Agriculture revealed that Indonesia has achieved self-sufficiency and even surplus production of chicken meat and chicken eggs. "Indonesia has achieved self-sufficiency for chicken meat and chicken eggs, reaching a surplus of 0.12 million tons and 0.17 million tons, respectively," said the Director General of Livestock and Animal Health at the Ministry of Agriculture, Agung Suganda, in Probolinggo, East Java on Tuesday. Currently, the government continues to strive to maintain supply and demand stability to ensure that live chicken and egg prices at the farmer level do not fall too low below production costs.
