The potato harvest in Russia this year is projected to be 8.4 million tons, a record figure for the last 30 years and 15 percent higher than last year. Deputy Minister of Agriculture Andrei Razin expects the production of root crops to consistently exceed 7.9 million tons, which will meet the needs of the domestic market. Additionally, he predicts positive trends in the production of other agricultural crops, including vegetables and greenhouse vegetables, with plans to increase production in the next three to four years.
