The article highlights the success of Peruvian fresh mango exports during the 2020-2021 campaign, reaching a total of 232,683 tons. The Netherlands emerged as the leading consumer, accounting for 40% of the exports (93,000 tons), followed by the North American market with 29% (67,478 tons). Other significant markets included Spain, the UK, Canada, Russia, Chile, and China, among others. The National Agrarian Health Service (Senasa) played a crucial role in the campaign by providing phytosanitary support and certification for the export of mangoes and the fields they were grown in. The certification covered 17,998.92 hectares, spread across Piura, Lambayeque, and Ancash regions, involving 6,665 small farmers. The article does not forget to mention the various mango varieties that were exported, with the Kent variety being a favorite among international consumers.
