After a 2024 marked by unstable weather conditions, the upcoming pome fruit campaign in the Netherlands is expected to be significantly more favorable. According to the specialized website GroentenFruit Huis, thanks to a regular growing season, a good quality harvest is expected for both apples and pears. Despite the numerous challenges the sector continues to face – including rising costs and increasing pressure on plant health – the Dutch fruit industry is looking optimistically to the new season.
