The number of insured livestock in Russia has doubled from 2018, with the highest coverage being for pigs (57%) and poultry (55%). Cattle insurance coverage is at 12%. There has been a significant increase in the number of pigs and cattle insured with state support this year, along with an increase in insurance for other animal species such as sheep and deer. Approximately 165 million birds have been insured this year, with many insurance contracts expected to be renewed in the fourth quarter.
