The number of cases of African swine fever (ASF) in wild boars continues to decline. With the hunting season approaching, it is recommended to exercise extreme caution and strict adherence to hygiene measures is essential.
In October, 39 cases of African swine fever (ASF) in wild boars were detected, in September there were 53 cases, and in August there were 92 cases.
Currently, the German states of Hesse and North Rhine-Westphalia remain the most affected. In the eastern states of Brandenburg and Saxony, no cases of African swine fever (ASF) have been reported for several months, which has allowed some restrictions to be reduced or even lifted in certain areas.
