In 2024, fish farms in the Primorsky Territorial Administration of the Federal Agency for Fishery have successfully released 7.915 million juvenile Primorsky scallops and 0.931 million juvenile Far Eastern trepang into marine waters as part of pasture aquaculture practices. These juveniles are expected to grow into marketable size in the next 3-4 years. The farming of these species, particularly in the Voevoda Bay and other bays, is crucial as they are highly valued but are no longer permitted for industrial extraction due to depletion of natural reserves. The releases are meticulously registered and monitored by the Federal Agency for Fishery, ensuring sustainable and legal cultivation for the food market.
