The General Administration of Customs and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of China have lifted the 2001 ban on the export of deboned beef under 30 months of age from Poland and Belgium. This decision was made after evaluating the countries' mad cow disease prevention and control systems, which have been improved since the initial ban. Both countries have implemented laws, regulations, and traceable management systems from farm to table. Chinese customs will now strictly inspect imports of these products to ensure they meet required safety standards.
