According to the December edition of the monthly report Agro em Dados, prepared by the State Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply (Seapa), the purchasing power of poultry farmers showed an advance in October, driven by the appreciation of live chicken and the reduction in the cost of soybean meal. The live animal was priced at R$ 6.27 per kilo, an 8.0% increase compared to the previous month, while soybean meal reached R$ 1,637.20 per ton, with a decrease of 1.8%, according to data from Cepea. The scenario contributed to the stimulus for animal protein production in the country. Preliminary results from the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) indicate that, in the third quarter of 2025, 1.6 billion animals were slaughtered in Brazil, a volume 4.0% higher than that recorded in the same period of the previous year.
