According to the December edition of the monthly newsletter Agro em Dados, prepared by the State Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply (Seapa), the purchasing power of poultry farmers showed progress in October, driven by the appreciation of live chicken and the reduction in the cost of soybean meal. The live animal was priced at R$ 6.27 per kilo, an increase of 8.0% compared to the previous month, while soybean meal reached R$ 1,637.20 per ton, with a decline of 1.8%, according to Cepea data.
