The average price of land for agricultural use in Spain stood at 10,248 euros per hectare in 2024, with an annual increase of 2.8% in current prices and a cumulative rise of 13.8% since 2020, according to data from the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food. The provisional data from the Survey on Prices of Cultivated Land, published on the Ministry's website, reflect the continuation of the upward trend, with the largest price increases in dryland nuts (6.7%) and rice (5.1%), while irrigated vineyards show the main decrease (-5.7%). At constant prices, the average increase in the price of agricultural land stands at 0.5% annually. By autonomous communities, the Canary Islands remains the community with the highest price, 148,415 euros per hectare, due to the high value of land intended for banana plantations, followed by the Region of Murcia (33,180 €/ha).
