According to experts from the financial portal Trading Economics, who analyze the price behavior in the futures markets daily, traders have noted that the main crop in Côte d'Ivoire had a slow start, which adds to the poor quality of the beans in the ports. They added that this country already suffered quality issues in the 2024/25 season, which ended last September. Traders, according to Trading Economics, warned that the situation could worsen, as the recent increase in prices at origin, intended to accelerate the delivery of beans, could entice farmers and intermediaries to mix lower-quality mid-crop stocks into the new main crop.
