Vietnamese grouper and lobster farmers are facing significant challenges due to the Covid-19 pandemic and falling prices. Grouper breeder Mr. Tran Duc Van stated that traders are buying in limited quantities and at low prices, leading to losses for farmers and forcing them to reduce fish feeding. The situation is similar for lobster farmers, with many quitting their jobs due to low prices, disease outbreaks, and difficulties in exporting to China. The economic department of Cam Ranh is working to expand the grouper consumption market and is considering financial relief for farmers.
