The European Union is experiencing a decline in the prices of dairy products on the stock exchange, with internal and external demand being low and warehouses full. The cost of SZM and butter, calculated in milk, is at its minimum for the year. There are attempts to reduce the purchase price of milk in certain countries, including the Baltics, where prices have been reduced since September. In contrast, in Ukraine, milk prices on the primary market increased in the second half of October, but the energy crisis has restricted the work of processors, leading to a decrease in the price of the spot market. The difference between the price of Ukrainian raw milk on the spot against the EU has increased to -32%, and the difference in EM SZM/butter is -27%.
