In October, the prices of 24 out of 31 monitored vegetables at the wholesale market saw a decrease compared to September, with Broad bean and asparagus experiencing the largest drops. Despite this, tomato prices remained high but decreased compared to the previous year. Lettuce also saw a decrease in prices due to increased supply from the Coquimbo and Metropolitana regions. Conversely, melon and watermelon prices surged due to reduced supply from Brazil. Additionally, the price of carrots increased by 28% in October compared to September, and pepper prices also saw a slight increase.
