The prices of tomatoes collapsed on the Ukrainian market

On the Ukrainian market, prices for greenhouse tomatoes fell by an average of 25% in a week, and today producers are ready to ship them at UAH 40-65/kg, depending on the quality and volume of the batch. This is reported by EastFruit analysts. According to experts, the reason for the decrease in prices was the mass harvesting of both greenhouse tomatoes and tomatoes from film greenhouses in the southern regions of the country. At the same time, the demand for these products remains stably high, but the supply of tomatoes is growing very quickly, which is why prices continue to fall rapidly. However, today greenhouse tomatoes in Ukraine still cost an average of 16% more than at the beginning of July 2022.
