The production of red lentils is gaining momentum in Ukraine. The areas under cultivation are increasing, and the price remains stable. Antonina Sklyarenko, the president of the Ukrainian Pulse and Soybean Association, told "Suspilne" about this. She noted that this year, the area under red lentils has increased to 25–26 thousand hectares. The average yield was 2–2.5 tons per hectare, while last year it reached 3 tons per hectare. "At the same time, the price remains at around 25 thousand hryvnias per ton, making it one of the most profitable crops of the season," added Antonina Sklyarenko.
