The article reports on the start of the greenhouse plum harvest in the Mut district of Mersin, Turkey. The governor of the region, Fatih Erdoğan, attended the harvest in the Göksu District and wished for a successful season for the farmers. The District Director of Agriculture and Forestry, Ekrem Bayır, mentioned that the plum production is spread across 14 thousand decares and is expected to yield 21 thousand tons this year. Producer Uzay Gezer shared that they were satisfied with the yield and that the plums, sold for 500 liras per kilogram, are distributed to major cities such as Istanbul, Ankara, and Izmir.
