In the third quarter of the 2022/23 fiscal year, Turkey's wheat flour exports experienced an 8% decline compared to the same period in the previous year, totaling 795.5 thousand tons. Despite this, September's exports saw a 12% increase, reaching 320.8 thousand tons. The main importer, Iraq, saw a 9% decrease in deliveries, while Yemen's imports rose by 53%. No wheat flour was exported to Sri Lanka in the previous season, but this season, 50,000 tons were shipped there. Initial wheat stocks in Turkey are projected to be 40% lower than the previous season at 2.2 million tons, leading to an predicted increase in wheat imports to 10 million tons. The export of wheat and flour in grain equivalent is anticipated to remain stable at 6.75 million tons for the 2022/23 fiscal year.
