This was stated by Dmitry Zaychenko, Deputy General Director for Scientific and Innovative Work of the Food Research and Development Center of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, at the press conference "Contribution of Agricultural Scientists to the Development of the Agro-Industrial Complex." According to him, compared to refined oil, the content of carotenoids in such oil increases by 21.7 times, tocopherols by 1.6 times, and sterols by 3.6 times. Quality indicators of unrefined rapeseed oil intended for direct consumption have been established, allowing for its extended shelf life. The scientist also shared that the country plans to increase the production of lupine, primarily as a source of plant protein in animal feed. This crop can replace expensive soy and sunflower components in compound feeds.
