The rice harvest in Bafra district of Samsun is in full swing. Grown in the fertile plains, Bafra rice has brought smiles to the faces of producers this year both in terms of yield and quality. The prices being at the desired level gives hope to the farmers, while Bafra rice continues to attract great interest across Turkey. Bafra Chamber of Agriculture President Osman Tosuner stated that rice was planted in approximately 157 thousand decares this year, the harvest began in September and will continue until the end of October.
